Proposed follow-up
Ensure that professional upright and counter refrigerators and freezers supplied under the contract correspond to the energy-efficient models requested in the tender by checking the energy labels and making sure that the energy efficiency class complies with the requirement above.
Alternatively, excerpts from EPREL (the European Product Database for Energy Labelling) can be followed up to ensure that the product's energy efficiency class label meets the requirement.
Information about the criterion
This requirement is to be used together with the "Energy efficiency class, upright and bench refrigerators and freezers" requirement, Requirement ID 11508, to ensure a base level for energy-efficient refrigerators and freezers.
The requirement can be reformulated for use as a technical specification but will then require that a market analysis is conducted to ensure that the models and sizes that will meet your needs are available in the desired energy labelling class.
Additional information about market analysis.
Select an evaluation model that fits your specific procurement object where this award criterion can be included. Remember to specify the weighting of the award criteria according to your needs and objectives. You can also choose to award higher added value for better energy efficiency classes.
